PhD Defense — 28 May 2026

Three continents, three different worlds: Madagascar (low-income), India (middle-income) and France (high-income). One question followed me everywhere — can low-cost air quality sensors actually tell people what they're breathing? On May 28th I successfully defended my PhD.

EGU 2026 — Oral Presentation

I gave my first big conference talk at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) 2026. A big room — professors, researchers, people who've spent decades on this — but somewhere in the middle I stopped being nervous, because I genuinely believe in what we've built: HUGISS, connecting air quality sensors with emission inventories for source apportionment.

Science is Wonderful! 2026

What happens when you take air pollution science out of the lab and into people's hands? At Science is Wonderful! (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, European Commission), we turned air quality research into an interactive "Air Detectives" experience where visitors built their own cities and saw their choices change the air in real time.

Madagascar Mobility Project

Culmination of an international project for my Ph.D. thesis, titled "Air Quality Evolution at the Local Scale in the Absence of a Calibration Reference Point." This ambitious endeavor was made possible through funding from GIE-GERS at Université Gustave Eiffel, the CLEAR-Doc COFUND, Université de Fianarantsoa, and Madatlas Madagascar.
